Student Testimonials

Receiving the Peter Massias Foundation Scholarship in Grade 9 was a major turning point in my life. At that time, my family was experiencing significant financial challenges, and the cost of my education was becoming difficult to manage. This scholarship came at a crucial moment, allowing me to continue my secondary education without placing any additional strain on my mother, who was already doing everything she could to support me. Each year, I received financial assistance that covered my school fees and helped me purchase uniforms, textbooks, and other essential supplies needed for my classes. This support made a tremendous difference in my academic journey and overall well-being.
Because of this scholarship, I was able to remain fully focused on my studies rather than worrying about whether my family could afford the expenses associated with school. It helped me stay motivated and consistent throughout my high school years, and it played a key role in my ability to successfully graduate without facing financial setbacks. More importantly, the scholarship provided me with a sense of confidence and determination. Knowing that someone believed in my potential and was willing to invest in my future inspired me to work harder and to strive for excellence in everything I did.
I am deeply grateful to the Peter Massias Foundation for their generosity and unwavering support. Their willingness to assist students like me has created meaningful opportunities and has had a lasting impact on my life. The scholarship fund has been a guiding force throughout my academic journey at Camperdown High School, shaping not only my education but also my outlook on perseverance and giving back. I sincerely hope that this scholarship program continues to help other students who face similar financial challenges, just as it helped me, so they too can pursue their goals with hope and confidence.

The Peter Messiah Scholarship has had a meaningful and positive impact on my education by easing many of the financial challenges that I normally face during the school year. With the support provided, I have been able to cover important school-related expenses such as school supplies, books, and other materials I need for my classes. Having these costs taken care of has allowed me to focus more on my academics rather than worrying about how I will manage day-to-day needs. This stability has helped me stay consistent with my classwork, complete assignments on time, and maintain better overall performance. In many ways, the scholarship has created a learning environment where I can concentrate on my goals and responsibilities without added stress.
Beyond the financial assistance, the scholarship has also influenced me on a personal and motivational level. Knowing that someone believes in my potential encourages me to push myself, remain disciplined, and aim for higher achievements. It gives me a sense of pride and responsibility, as I want to live up to the confidence that has been placed in me. This support has strengthened my motivation toward my long-term goals and has shown me that hard work and dedication can truly create opportunities. *Michael Daley – Mentorship Programme Testimonial*
I am truly grateful to be a part of the Peter Massias Foundation Mentorship Programme, as it has played a significant role in shaping my academic journey, confidence, and outlook on the future.
Before joining the programme, I often felt uncertain about my direction and struggled to believe in my abilities. One of my biggest academic challenges was Mathematics, a subject I found particularly difficult and discouraging. What made the difference was knowing that my mentors genuinely believed in me and were committed to helping me succeed. They ensured I received additional academic support and encouragement, which helped me rebuild my confidence and approach my studies with a more positive and disciplined mindset.
What makes this programme especially meaningful to me is that my mentors are past students of Camperdown High School. Knowing that they once walked the same halls and overcame similar challenges makes their guidance incredibly relatable and inspiring. They understand the realities students face and are deeply invested in helping the next generation move forward with purpose and confidence.
Through consistent encouragement, practical guidance, and accountability, I learned to believe in myself, set higher goals, and take responsibility for my growth. As a result of the preparation and motivation I received through the programme, I successfully applied for and completed the GraceKennedy Summer Employment Programme. This opportunity allowed me to gain valuable exposure to professional work environments, strengthen my communication and teamwork skills, and gain greater clarity about my future career path.
Today, I am proud to be a Grade 12 student at Camperdown High School and to continue engaging with my mentors, who remain a constant source of guidance and encouragement. The Mentorship Programme has supported me not only academically, but also in developing resilience, confidence, and ambition.
I would strongly encourage any student to become part of this programme. It is more than mentorship, It is a supportive community of dedicated former students who give their time, experience, and resources to help young people succeed. Because of this programme, I now believe in my future and feel better prepared to achieve my goals.

I am deeply grateful to the Peter Massias Foundation for this incredible scholarship opportunity. It will not only ease my financial challenges but also help me move closer to achieving my dream of becoming an air hostess.
With this support, I will be able to pay my school fees, purchase the books I need, and reduce the financial burden on my grandmother. Without the Foundation’s help, I would not have had the same level of support to pursue my goals.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this opportunity possible. I truly appreciate your generosity, and I promise to make the most of it and not take it for granted.
