Our Values
The Peter Massias Foundation Scholarship Fund (PMFSF) is expected to manage resources, fulfil its fiduciary responsibilities to donors, and award scholarships on a merit basis to students in need of support. To this end, the Executive Team has begun to build awareness, effectiveness, sustainability, and the reputation of the Fund.
The PMFSF is continuing to comply with legal requirements and manage its operations transparently to satisfy the highest levels of probity.
The Fund will be interacting with donors and managing resources to achieve long-term sustainability. Notably, the Fund has set itself the goal of increasing resources whilst concurrently meeting scholarship award objectives.
The Executive Team is committed to the principles of Accountability, Communication, Sustainability and Transparency (ACTS). These principles have been agreed upon as core values of PMFSF.
For the purposes of PMFSF, the Executive adopted the following definitions.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The obligation of the PMFSF is to account for its decisions and activities, accept responsibility for them, and disclose results in a transparent manner.
COMMUNICATION:
The PMFSF will rely on the collective intelligence of the Executive, and make team-oriented decisions that are associated with appropriate justification and conveyed them in a transparent manner.
Â
TRANSPARENCY:
The PMFSF commits to sharing information with all related parties. Â Transparency will be at the Centre of how related parties may hold the Executive accountable.
SUSTAINABILITY:
The capacity of the PMFSF to maintain long-term viability and to continually change and adapt whilst remaining within critical thresholds.
The effectiveness of the Committee will therefore be evaluated on the extent to which scholarships are delivered, the long-term objectives are met, and the sustainability of the Fund achieved.
